Break Lines

In architecture, break lines are used to signify the existence of more, while focusing selectively on what is pertinent to convey. In my artwork, the steel serves as a metaphorical break line, capturing this essence. The choice of a rust finish on the steel reflects outdated perspectives, encouraging viewers to reflect on their tendency to judge based on limited information.

I aim to challenge the perception that what is visible is all-encompassing. Just as in architecture, where break lines suggest hidden complexities, my work invites viewers to delve deeper. By exploring beyond surface appearances, we can uncover the fuller narrative of any situation or individual.

I encourage you to identify break lines in your own life and biases. Embrace the realization that there is always more to discover, understand, and appreciate.
